The 48,000-square-foot museum tells the Agua Caliente story in six galleries: a 360-degree theater of the tribe's creation story, a permanent collection of Cahuilla baskets and ceramics, and a rotating gallery of traditional and contemporary Native American art. The museum sits on the ancestral land of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, atop the sacred Sec-he hot mineral spring that gave the tribe its name. Plan for two hours.
