OPERATOR STORY

The Big Sur River Inn restaurant has fed this community since the 1930s, first as a roadhouse on the new coastal highway, now as one of Big Sur's most enduring gathering places. The Sunday live music series brings together locals, long-term guests, and road-trippers around a stage that faces the river. It is not curated or ticketed; it simply happens, every Sunday, as it has for decades. The current family has kept this tradition through wildfires, pandemic closures, and Highway 1 washouts.
