The drive into Dry Creek Valley sets the tone before you arrive: a narrow two-lane road lined with old vines, occasional farm stands, and the kind of unhurried agricultural calm that the rest of Sonoma County is increasingly hard to find. Dry Creek Vineyard sits at the far end of the corridor with picnic grounds, bocce courts, and an outdoor tasting area that faces directly into the valley. The Zinfandel and Sauvignon Blanc are the wines to taste here, grown on estate ground that has been producing for over 50 years. Daily tastings are available without a reservation.

OPERATOR STORY

Dry Creek Vineyard was founded in 1972, inspired by the Loire Valley, and became one of the estates that defined the Dry Creek Valley AVA. Now more than 50 years old and still family-owned and operated, it remains one of the most respected and authentic tasting experiences in Sonoma County, known especially for its Fume Blanc, Zinfandel, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
