OPERATOR STORY
Earthbound Farm was founded in 1984 on a half-acre plot in Carmel Valley, the origin of what became the largest organic produce company in the United States. The original farm stand on Carmel Valley Road continues to operate as a working farm with u-pick herbs and a nature trail through the growing beds. The company was acquired by Taylor Farms, a Salinas-based family-owned produce operation, in 2019.
