EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION

The Evergreen Lodge’s restaurant and tavern has been the gathering place for this corner of Yosemite since 1921. The kitchen sources all-natural meats and local organic produce and cooks from scratch — mountain cuisine with a California lean, served in the dining room, on the timber porch, in the tavern, or on the patio overlooking the forest. On weekend evenings local musicians perform and Yosemite area locals join guests at the 30-foot wood bar: rangers, climbers, guides who know every trail on this side of the park. After dinner, the s’mores fire and the Milky Way between the tree canopy at 4,600 feet with almost no light pollution.

The Evergreen Lodge's restaurant and tavern has operated since 1921, first as a dining hall for dam construction workers, then as the gathering place for a century of Yosemite visitors.
