EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION

The courtyard patio at Le Vallauris seats 150 under a canopy of giant ficus trees, with the feel of a private garden in the middle of Palm Springs. The menu changes daily and is handwritten on a chalkboard: classic French-Mediterranean preparations, California seasonal ingredients, a wine list of serious depth.

OPERATOR STORY

The founder opened Le Vallauris in 1974 in the 1927 Roberson House, one of Palm Springs' oldest buildings and former home of the family who managed the Desert Inn. The ficus trees shading the courtyard patio were planted by hand at opening. The same chef has run the kitchen for over 25 years with a daily-changing chalkboard menu of classic French-Mediterranean cuisine. Le Vallauris has been the city's restaurant for special occasions for over 50 years.
