Moody's Bistro has been housed in the ground floor of the 1873 Truckee Hotel on Bridge Street since 2002, a building that served as a stagecoach stop on the Dutch Flat Wagon Road. The farm-to-table menu is built on relationships with regional ranchers and farmers. Live music runs nearly every night and is always free. The bar gets packed on weekends with locals. Open daily for lunch and dinner.

OPERATOR STORY

Moody's Bistro opened in 2002 in the ground floor of the historic 1873 Truckee Hotel on Bridge Street, named after John F. Moody, the original builder of the hotel. The restaurant is built around three things: a farm-to-table mountain menu sourced from regional ranchers and farmers, craft cocktails, and live music nearly every night. The place is as close to a town institution as Truckee has.
