EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION
Paso Robles's downtown square has been the center of civic life since the town was laid out in 1886 as a thermal springs resort. The original Carnegie Library, the 1907 courthouse, and the City Park bandstand still anchor the square, which is surrounded by independent restaurants, tasting rooms, and galleries. The Farmers Market runs Wednesday mornings in the park from spring through fall, bringing producers from the surrounding agricultural valley directly downtown.
OPERATOR STORY
Paso Robles was established in 1886 as a thermal springs resort and laid out around a central civic square that has remained the commercial and cultural heart of the city ever since. The Carnegie Library building dates to 1907 and the City Park bandstand is original to the square's founding era.
