EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION

Pinyon sits on Ojai Avenue in the heart of downtown, a family-run restaurant built around a wood-fired oven and the seasonal produce of the Ojai Valley. The menu changes with what the kitchen's farming, fishing, and shepherding relationships make available: wood-fired pizzas, small plates, sourdough from an in-house bakery, paired with a natural wine list from small producers practicing minimal intervention.

OPERATOR STORY

Pinyon opened as a family and friend-run operation rooted in the Ojai farming community. The kitchen is built around a wood-fired oven and direct relationships with local farmers, anglers, and shepherds; the sourcing is the actual basis of how the menu is built each week, not aspirational language. The natural wine list favors small-scale producers practicing minimal intervention. Pinyon also operates an in-house bakery.
