Burke's Canoe Trips is a Guerneville institution — the local outfitter that has been putting paddlers on the Russian River for decades with a setup that hasn't needed to change. Guests launch from Mirabel Park and paddle 10 miles downstream through the willows, alders, and redwood-covered hills to Guerneville, where Burke's shuttle picks them up and drives them back to the start. The Russian River here is calm and entirely beginner-friendly — no whitewater, no experience required, just a half-day of easy paddling in one of Sonoma County's most beautiful river corridors. Sandy beaches along the way invite impromptu stops. The whole trip takes 3–4 hours depending on pace. Reservations recommended in summer.
