OPERATOR STORY
San Luis Obispo Museum of Art began as the SLO Art Association in 1952 and has operated on Mission Plaza since 1967. The nonprofit is free to all visitors and serves as the hub of SLO's Cultural Corridor, presenting rotating exhibitions, public art commissions, and community programming. A new expanded location on Higuera Street is planned to open in 2027.
