OPERATOR STORY
State Bird Provisions was opened on New Year's Eve 2011 by Stuart Brioza and Nicole Krasinski, Bay Area natives who built their philosophy around Northern California ingredients and seasonal sourcing. Independently owned with no institutional backing, the two have since opened The Progress and The Anchovy Bar nearby, all three sharing a distinct sense of place on the Fillmore corridor. State Bird has held a Michelin star since 2014 and won the James Beard Award for Best New Restaurant in 2013.
