PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
Built in 1906 and restored in 2009, the 1906 Lodge is a rare survivor of Coronado's Edwardian resort era, a low-slung, shingle-clad inn tucked into a quiet residential lane two blocks from Coronado Beach. Designed by noted San Diego architects William Hebbard and Irving Gill, the 17 rooms are individually furnished, many with working fireplaces, spa tubs, and private entrances. Complimentary homemade breakfast and a daily afternoon happy hour are part of every stay.OWNER STORY
The 1906 Lodge occupies a 1906 Hebbard and Gill-designed building in Coronado that served as a boarding house for nearly a century before being restored and reopened as a boutique inn in 2009. The property is held by Oceanic Antelope Valley LLC, a San Diego-based entity whose individual principals have not been publicly identified. The lodge has operated under successive management arrangements, including a period in the Four Sisters Inns collection, and is currently managed by Artemis Hospitality. The building's historic designation and innkeeper-led culture have been preserved across ownership and management transitions.
