Blue Lantern Inn was purpose-built in 1990 by the founder of Four Sisters Inns, the only property in the collection designed from the ground up for the brand rather than acquired. It was born into Four Sisters and has never had another owner. In 2018, new ownership took over the collection and preserved the identity the founder established: the full breakfast, the afternoon wine and cheese, the personal service standard that defines a Four Sisters stay. Fresh stewardship, same character. Four Sisters owns the Blue Lantern real estate outright.
