PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
A Colonial Revival mansion built in 1910 on a quiet canyon street two blocks from the Pacific in Santa Monica's Palisades neighborhood, Channel Road Inn is one of the few genuine historic properties on the LA coast. Four Sisters Inns has preserved the home's original architectural details, including hardwood floors, leaded glass, and period moldings, creating 15 individually decorated rooms that feel more like a private home than a hotel. The garden and heated pool tucked behind the house provide a serene escape that's rare in this stretch of densely urban Los Angeles.OWNER STORY
The 1910 Colonial Revival house at 219 West Channel Road has been a Four Sisters Inns property since 2007. Four Sisters was founded in 1975 as a collection of individually managed B&Bs with a shared hospitality philosophy: full breakfast, afternoon wine and hors d'oeuvres, personal service at the level of a private home. In 2018 the company passed to two long-tenured executives who had grown up inside it, preserving the identity the founders established. Four Sisters owns the real estate outright. Channel Road Inn is the company's southernmost property, tucked into Santa Monica Canyon between the coast and the Palisades.
