The same family has owned Cottages at Little River Cove for over 30 years, longer than most independent hotels on the Mendocino Coast have stayed in the same hands. The North Coast has seen significant consolidation, with properties absorbed into management companies and investor portfolios. Little River Cove has remained outside all of that. No branded identity, no founder story, no press profile. What there is instead is the evidence of long-term stewardship: infrastructure improved without changing what the place fundamentally is, and a reputation built entirely on repeat guests who return season after season.
