PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
Occupying a lovingly restored 1922 Spanish Colonial building on the edge of downtown San Luis Obispo, the Granada blends architectural heritage with a lively food-and-drink culture centered around its acclaimed on-site bistro. Nomada Hotel Group has preserved the original arched windows, tiled floors, and courtyard while adding a design sensibility that feels sophisticated without being precious. The rooftop terrace with views of the Santa Lucia foothills is one of the better spots in SLO, and the hotel’s walkability to restaurants and galleries makes it a natural hub for exploring the Central Coast wine corridor.OWNER STORY
The building at 1126 Morro Street was built in 1922 as Hotel Granada and operated for decades before falling into decline and being slated for demolition. In 2012 Nomada Hotel Group restored it, preserving the original arched windows, tiled floors, and exposed brick while creating 17 individually designed rooms, the Bistro, and the Nightcap lounge. Nomada operates Granada alongside Skyview Los Alamos and Hotel Ynez, three Central Coast properties with a shared commitment to design-led hospitality. Granada is the most urban of the three, anchored in downtown SLO with a restaurant widely regarded as one of the city's best.
