PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

Perched on the bluffs above the working harbor of Fort Bragg, Noyo Harbor Inn is a converted 1860s Cape Cod-style house with sweeping views over the mouth of the Noyo River and the Pacific beyond. The owner restored the property with an attention to craftsmanship and comfort that's rare on the Mendocino Coast, with locally made furnishings, vintage finds, and fire pits overlooking the harbor. The setting bridges two worlds: the colorful authenticity of a working fishing port below, and the wild beauty of the Mendocino headlands stretching in both directions.

OWNER STORY

The property above Noyo Harbor traces its history to a local lumber family that built an estate here in the 1860s. Over 150 years and multiple owners it fell into vacancy and disrepair before the current owner purchased it in 2010. Six years of restoration followed, preserving Craftsman materials and adding modern amenities without altering the building's character. The kitchen garden and harbor-view dining deck were established as permanent features. The restaurant sources directly from the commercial fishing fleet below the bluff, the same boats guests can watch departing on the morning walk down to the docks.
